Power
North Vista helped establish and remains an advisor to Wataynikaneyap Power, a partnership between 24 First Nation communities and FortisOntario. Wataynikaneyap Power is a First Nation led company developing 1800km of new transmission lines to connect remote First Nation communities in northwestern Ontario currently served by diesel generation. The $2.0 billion+ project was completed in 2024, connecting 16 remote First Nations to the provincial grid in Ontario.

OPIIKAPAWIIN SERVICES LP
North Vista helped establish and remains a key advisor to Opiikapawiin Services LP (OSLP), owned by a partnership of 24 First Nation communities. OSLP specializes in indigenous engagement, indigenous participation, and project development. OSLP is currently supporting the First Nation partnership in the management of its investment in Wataynikaneyap Power, which includes raising equity for the First Nations interest in the transmission project.
Red Lake
Gas Pipeline Project
North Vista’s team worked with Goldcorp Red Lake Goldmines, the Municipality of Red Lake, Union Gas, and the federal / provincial government to develop the Red Lake Gas Pipeline Project. The two-phase project consisted of over 104km of 8, 4, and 2-inch pipeline to provide natural gas service to Goldcorp’s Red Lake gold mines, as well as the businesses and residents of the Municipality of Red Lake.
Wassigan Transmission Line Project / Gwayakocchigewin LP
North Vista is a key advisor and implementation officer to Gwayakocchigewin (www.glp-fn.ca), an 7 First Nation partnership. The partnership is engaging with Hydro One Networks on the development of the Waasigan Transmission Line through their traditional homelands. (www.waasigan.ca). The proposed project is a new 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between Thunder Bay and Dryden being developed by Hydro One. Construction started in late 2024 and will be complete in 2027.
